PL-50T Channel Player with Tuner

The PL-50T is a FlexStream Player that includes a DTV tuner.  This device enables display controls over existing coax wiring.  Similar to the DC-50, except with fewer TV make/model restrictions.  Also similar to the PL-50 except it receives its content and commands over the coax wiring rather than IP networks.  We recommend the PL-50T to enable display controls on coax networks, especially when compatibility with existing TVs is paramount. 

When paired with a MX Smart Headend, these devices receive traditional cable TV channels (clear QAM) over a coax wiring.  The PL-50T has all the control capabilities of the DC-50 enabling remote and/or centralized control of the TVs channel, volume, and power.

Use cases for the PL-50T include:

  • Linear TV reception on controlled displays or monitors (requires FlexStream MX) 
  • Centralized management of all facility TVs
  • Tightly choreograph display controls with channel programming 
  • Solution is compatible with existing coax wiring, IP (Cat 6) wiring is not required.
  • Works with clear QAM digital broadcasts.  For analog TV support, use DC-50.
