PL-100 Channel Player

The PL-100 Channel Player brings FlexStream private channels to TVs and displays that do not have access to a coaxial cableTV network.

Create a network of internet connected PL-100 displays or extend your existing in-house coaxial cable TV network beyond the reach of coaxial wiring by adding one or more players to a FlexStream enabled facility.  Players used as cable TV extensions are managed locally by a FlexStream MX Smart Headend.  The player will receive streaming linear TV channels from the MX, similar to TV receiving linear TV on coaxial networks.

When players are managed through the FlexStream Cloud no MX Smart Headend is required – multimedia files, content links, and scheduled events are transferred to the players storage as a one time transfer.  The player can then create a fully autonomous, continuous-play FlexStream channel without adversely impacting the facility’s internet bandwidth and without buffering issues which are common to continuous streaming devices.

Scheduled streaming of live or internet stored content is available when needed. With up to 256 GB of storage in the PL-100 media library, users can store and schedule hundreds of hours of media making it suitable for classrooms, automated training, and multipurpose informational displays,

Use cases for the PL-100 include:

  • Automate a multiuse auditorium, museum, classroom, or other TV focused venue by preprogramming the days events and enabling live events using the same device
  • Ideal for delivering signage channels, private channels, and commercial TV channels to any location
  • Enable remote training facilities at multiple locations using FlexStream channels with scheduled media playback and live event/

    For our customers with IPTV networks, consider using the PL-50 as a compatible display controller.  The PL-50 supports all of the same control features of the DC-50.  Both can be used in the same facility to achieve uniform results regardless of the wiring, coax or CAT6, utilized.
