FlexStream Modernizes Rehab TV at MTC Facilities

The Problem:

LiftUp Labs, a collaboration between Management and Training Corporation (MTC) and Acceleron Learning, teamed up with West Pond Enterprises to mechanize a new delivery model called interLIFT – a collection of hundreds of blended education video episodes on rehabilitative topics like substance abuse and cognitive intervention – which make the best use of limited clinical staff.  LiftUp needed technology to manage the programming content, deliver it to the facility TV network, and control the TVs on that network.  They required a scalable solution suitable for both small single-TV facilities and large facilities with multiple dormitories, many TVs, and a variety of curriculums. The solution must be compatible with existing commercial TV channels and include an enterprise grade remote management solution for centralized control and content distribution.

The Solution:

Once installed, location specific schedules were created to enforce viewing of compulsory training videos across all facilities. Each LiftUp video is prefaced with a FlexStream generated multimedia guide announcing upcoming scheduled events/lessons, local weather, and facility announcements.  To facilitate off-hour usage, West Pond offered armored keypads that allow for local control of the TV’s during free time and turn off the TV’s at designated quiet times.
